Campaign: The BOLT EFFECT

While trying to think about an online game, I ran across the interesting fact that the World's Fastest Man, Usain Bolt, eats GREEN bananas for breakfast. If anyone has ever seen this guy run, it's insane. In the 2008 olympics he smoked the field, for the last 10 meters he basically coasted too!

In other respects, he kindof embodies the personality of a banana - bright, yellow, happy, energetic, goofy, gregarious, etc.

There are a number of funny youtube parodies of his 100m race that I based the online game on. I'm sure there are other running games out there, but not with the same focus. :)

So, Bolt inspired me to make a campaign, that initially started from a game idea.
Could spill over to other "Bolt-like" characters like Hockey start Ovechkin.

The choice of food before the game is similar to what some online sports gear manufactures do before their online games (ie. choose a shoe, tennis racket, and colour, etc.)
The depictions of Bolt's reasons for slowing down are taken from a funny youtube video.

The online game feeling, or theme, can basically be an idea of keeping the athlete/idol's personality in the game. Often, only the "sports" skill is translated into a game. I think it would be great to translate the personality into the game. Ie. Ovechkin is very similar to a Bolt-like personality - super awesome and not afraid to flaunt it. Other personalities like Kerri Walsh, v-ball gold medalist, might be more nurturing, and that can be brought through in the game as well.

The Ovechkin game might revolve around a skill competition and Ovechkin trying to "teach" a player how to do a move, no matter how improbable that you'll master it.
